Yes, we’re nerds and if we can get our hands on several flagship 16mm cameras from different eras we can’t say no. Motion Film Gates are something special. Ours are numerous, high quality, and most importantly, not digitally created, but analog. The best pack you can get on the market.
In this pack you will find only the finest letterboxes and design elements. Whether for cinema productions or the social networks, you won't get a film look faster. Besides real motion film gates scanned from different 8mm and 16mm cameras, you'll also get authentic photographic film mattes.
The ultimate toolkit
We took scanned Super 8 and 16mm film gates and broke them down into single elements. You can use only the matte or only the perforation or only the side numbers printed onto film stock in the factory or you wildly combine them. The only thing that might stop you is your decency.
Clean, dirty, grungy, filmy
Use the letterboxes for a wedding film or your Nirvana cover band's music video. We have all the styles. You can easily get the noble round corners or the cracked edges of a camera from the flea market. We have also scanned various film stocks and built pre-keyed analog film letterboxes to give your project the final artsy touch.
Choose your aspect ratio
We did not know which aspect ratio you wanted to use for your project, so we decided to build alternatives to the native camera formats. There are 4K letterboxes for timelines that are set to 4x3, 16x9, 2.35x1 and 1x1. They can be easily downscaled to HD without any loss of quality.
To accompany the Letterboxes we have added many cool things from other packages. With 10-second loops of 16mm and Super8 film grain and real film burns you can easily make a perfect spin off of grandpa's vacation movies.
